We tested Oppo Reno 13 5G and here’s a quick and simple look at this new phone’s camera and performance, especially if you’re curious about how well it captures photos, handles gaming, and performs in day-to-day use.
The camera on this phone is honestly impressive. It features a 50 MP wide lens paired with an 8 MP ultra-wide lens on the back, and a 50 MP front-facing camera for selfies. You can shoot videos in 4K at 30 or 60 fps, and 1080p at 30 or 60 fps on both front and back cameras.
The results? Crisp, detailed, and sharp images with natural colors and good dynamic range. Even in lower lighting conditions, the phone handles noise quite well, and portraits turn out clear with balanced skin tones. Selfies also come out bright and well-focused, whether you’re indoors or outside. If you’re someone who loves taking photos, this phone easily delivers the same camera quality found in premium models clear, high-resolution shots with solid color accuracy.

Now let’s talk about the display. The phone comes with a 6.59-inch AMOLED display, offering a resolution of 1256 x 2760 pixels (~460 PPI). It supports 1.07 billion colors and the P3 wide color gamut, so everything looks bright, sharp, and colorful. The display is smooth too, thanks to the 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. With up to 1200 nits of brightness, it stays readable even in bright sunlight. The phone feels premium with its glass back, metal frame, and IP69 water and dust resistance rating, giving both strength and elegance in hand.
Under the hood, it runs on the Mediatek Dimensity 8350 (4nm) processor, with an Antutu score of 1,153,762, making it a very fast phone for everyday tasks. The Mali-G615 MC6 GPU supports smooth performance for apps and games. You get options for 256GB or even 1TB of internal storage, with 12GB or 16GB of RAM, all based on UFS 3.1, which makes loading times and file transfers super quick. There’s no SD card slot, though, but with such high storage options, that might not matter for most users.
The battery performance also stands out. It has a 5600 mAh battery and supports 80W fast charging. In our test, it charged 73% in 30 minutes and reached 100% in just 48 minutes, which is really efficient. As for battery life, the phone lasted over 13 hours in a heavy drain test that included gaming, video watching, social media, and browsing. For daily use, the backup would be even better.
For gaming, it handles PUBG at 90FPS on Smooth-Extreme+ settings, and gameplay was smooth and lag-free. It doesn’t support 120FPS, which may be a downside for competitive gamers, but 90FPS still delivers a fast and fluid gaming experience.
Pros 👍 Beautiful and sleek design, Bright and sharp AMOLED display, Strong battery life & Fast charging performance
Cons 👎 No support for 120FPS gaming
So to wrap it up, this phone is a solid choice. It’s stylish, smooth to use, takes high-quality photos, and charges quickly. While it might not be the ultimate gaming phone, it offers great all-around performance. If you’re not too focused on ultra-high FPS gaming and want a beautiful and powerful daily driver, this one ticks all the boxes. Thanks for reading!
