Design & Build
The Realme 14 features a visually appealing, modern design with subtle gaming-inspired accents. However, it uses a plastic frame, which slightly reduces its premium feel. While it offers IP68/IP69 protection against water and dust, the lack of Gorilla Glass protection is a notable omission.
Battery & Charging
Equipped with a 6000mAh Silicon Carbon battery, the Realme 14 delivers decent battery life. In our charging test, it reached 50% in 30 minutes 100% in 62 minutes It’s not the fastest in its class, but definitely acceptable. Realme also added power optimization features to enhance standby time.
Gaming & Performance
Powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 and backed by 820,288 Antutu score, the Realme 14 handled all gaming tasks smoothly. PUBG ran at 90FPS with Smooth–Extreme+ settings and maintained a stable frame rate with no visible lag or frame drops.
Other titles like Asphalt Nitro and Free Fire supported up to 120FPS, making it a great option for gamers. Realme’s GT Mode with AI Motion Control improves gyroscope accuracy, adding to its gaming appeal.
Camera Performance
The phone features a single 50MP wide rear camera with OIS and a 16MP front camera. Image quality is good under natural lighting, and color tone is well-handled. Video stabilization works efficiently at both 1080p and 4K, but 4K is limited to 30FPS, which is surprising considering the powerful chipset. Portrait shots are decent but not exceptional. In comparison to competitors in the same price bracket, camera quality falls slightly short, especially when considering the single-lens setup.
Final Thoughts
The Realme 14 is undoubtedly a powerful phone, especially in the gaming department. It offers a bright AMOLED display, solid performance, and a long-lasting battery. However, its camera limitations, plastic build, and missing Gorilla Glass protection raise concerns, especially when you consider its price tag.
At around PKR 100,000, the Realme 14 feels slightly overpriced, especially when the Realme 13+, which offers almost identical performance, is significantly cheaper (by approx. PKR 25,000). The only major improvements in the Realme 14 are a larger battery and slightly upgraded processor.
What We Liked: Bright, high-refresh AMOLED display, Powerful Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, 6000mAh battery with decent charging speed
What We Didn’t Like: Overpriced for what it offers, Plastic frame (no premium build), No Gorilla Glass protection, Single rear camera only
Verdict: If your main priority is gaming, then the Realme 14 offers a compelling experience with smooth FPS, AI-enhanced gyroscope, and thermal management. But if you’re looking for a complete all-rounder camera, build quality, and value, you may find better alternatives in this price range or even more value in the Realme 13+.
