The phone runs on Realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15. The thickness of this phone is roughly 8.4mm and the weight is around 212 grams. The build and design feel pretty solid, and it borrows some of its styling from the Realme C85 Pro. It comes with a 6.8-inch IPS LCD display with a 720 x 1570 pixels screen resolution. The display supports a 144Hz refresh rate and offers up to 1200 nits of HBM brightness. Outdoor visibility of this phone is going to be impressive, and the scrolling experience should be super smooth because of the 144Hz refresh rate. However, the 720p screen resolution might not attract some users, especially when we look at the price tag of this phone. Additionally, the phone has an IP69 Pro rating, promises water resistance, and comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
There are two storage variants revealed, the 128GB with 8GB RAM priced at Rs 54,999 PKR, and the 256GB with 8GB RAM priced at Rs 59,999 PKR. There is also an option to extend the RAM virtually. The phone features a single 50MP primary camera on the back, and with this main camera, you can record videos at 1080p resolution at 30fps and time-lapse videos at up to 60fps. It has an 8MP selfie camera that offers similar video recording capabilities.
The Realme C85 is powered by the Snapdragon 685 processor, and this is where most of the criticism usually comes in. The processor itself is not bad, but it feels like it should have been launched with a better price tag. MediaTek Helio G99, G100, and G200 chipsets are commonly used in this price segment and offer slightly more refined performance. The Snapdragon 685 scored 469,483 points on AnTuTu version 11 and can run PUBG at around 40 FPS. We will be sharing the PUBG performance and battery charging tests very soon on the main specification page of this phone.
Moreover, the phone packs a 7000mAh battery, and this is where things get interesting. This phone may be the only device in its segment offering a 7000mAh battery. Not only that, it also supports 45W fast charging along with reverse wired charging and bypass charging. You can even use this phone as a power bank to charge other gadgets like another phone, AirPods, or smartwatches. This phone is expected to deliver excellent battery backup performance for sure.
