Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Launch Date, Specs, Camera & All Upgrades

The Samsung S26 series is finally arriving. It is now confirmed that the Samsung S26 lineup is set to launch on February 25, 2026, and here are the complete details available so far.

This series will consist of three models, and rumors suggest that the S26 Edge is not expected to launch anytime soon. It may arrive in the future, but it will not be part of the current lineup, which includes the Samsung S26, S26 Plus, and the top-of-the-line S26 Ultra. The naming remains consistent with Samsung’s S-series strategy. The series will be available in multiple color options, and as expected, all models will bring incremental upgrades over the S25 series. Improvements are expected in the camera system, overall design, charging speed, processor, and most likely the battery capacity. However, battery specifications are not yet confirmed, so there is still a possibility that Samsung may stick with a 5000 mAh battery even in 2026, despite other brands offering capacities ranging from 7000 to 8000 mAh.

One of the most significant upgrades is coming to the Samsung S26 Ultra in the camera department. The primary 200 MP camera will feature an f/1.4 aperture, allowing better low-light photography and improved background blur. For comparison, the Samsung S25 Ultra used an f/1.7 aperture. The phone will retain a quad-camera setup similar to the previous generation. While the megapixel counts are expected to remain the same, the sensor quality is expected to be noticeably improved. In addition to hardware changes, Samsung is expected to introduce a large number of new AI-powered features across the entire S26 series.
The display is also set to receive a major upgrade. The S26 series is expected to feature the brightest display in Samsung S-series history, with up to 3000 nits of peak brightness, making it significantly brighter than the S25 series. The phones will feature the latest premium Corning Gorilla Glass protection along with an anti-reflective coating similar to the previous generation. One particularly interesting display feature is the new privacy view functionality, which makes the screen appear invisible to people viewing it from the side. This is a software-based feature, allowing users to customize it according to their needs, but it is expected to be exclusive to the S26 Ultra.
In terms of design, the body curves have been slightly increased, a change that is even noticeable on the S Pen. The S Pen is still included for now, although Samsung is expected to gradually phase it out in future generations, as features related to the S Pen have been steadily reduced since the Galaxy S24 series. Charging speed is also getting a noticeable boost, with the Samsung S26 Ultra expected to support 60 W fast charging. There will be no changes in RAM and internal storage options for the S26 Ultra, but the base storage variant will start at 256 GB instead of 128 GB.
For performance, Samsung will once again use two different processors depending on the region. These include the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Samsung’s own Exynos 2600 chipset. That covers everything known so far, and more details are expected to surface closer to the official launch.
