Itel S26 Ultra Review – PUBG Test, Charging & Battery Backup

Itel S26 Ultra just came into the market and people are trying to find out whether this phone is good or not. Well, here is the complete review, but before we move to the review, here is the list of highlighted specifications of Itel S26 Ultra.

Itel S26 Ultra Review

While looking at the specifications, this phone has decent features. The 6.78 inches AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 4500 nits peak brightness is really a good touch. Outdoor visibility and overall scrolling experience are great on this phone. And the best thing about this phone, which most users will love, is its slim design as this phone is only 6.8mm thick and 168 grams in weight. For reference, iPhone Air is 5.6mm thick with a weight of 165 grams, and Samsung S25 Edge is 5.8mm thick with a 163 grams weight. So from the display side and overall design point of view, this phone really does an amazing job.

Let’s talk a little about this phone’s hardware. This phone has a Unisoc T7300 processor which is quite similar to the MediaTek Helio G99. On Antutu scores, Itel S26 Ultra scored 671,402 points on version 11, meaning that this phone is capable of running routine apps very efficiently. On top of that, this processor is power-efficient and can help minimize battery drain even with heavy use. Overall, the processor is decent and there are no complaints from this department as well.

Moving to the gaming performance, let’s talk about PUBG performance. This phone has some weird combinations. As you all know, there is a “Super Smooth” option in PUBG for graphics, so this phone offers 60 FPS on Super Smooth graphics. But when you switch to “Smooth” graphics, it only supports 40 FPS. While there’s no big difference between Smooth and Super Smooth graphics, FPS is something you should know. As said, there are a few more options like Redmi 15 and Tecno Spark 40 Pro which also offer 60 FPS in PUBG with a little edge over price and battery size and of course some extra fast charging.

Let’s continue from the battery as we just reached there. This phone has a huge 6000 mAh battery, but there is one thing about the battery department that might be a deal breaker for some users and that is its charging speed, which is limited to 18W only. This should be a concern, especially when you’re spending 49,999 PKR and the battery size is big like 6000 mAh. We tested the charging speed of this phone, by the way, and here is how it performs on charging:

In 30 minutes, it charged only 27%, while it took 146 minutes (2 hours 26 minutes) to charge the phone from 0–100%, which is a huge time. So in terms of battery backup, this phone survives the competition due to its huge battery capacity, but in charging speed, it’s still behind in the race. You’ll get approximately 15–16 hours of battery backup on casual use which is pretty decent.

Let’s come to the conclusion, as we have discussed almost everything and you should now be good to know about this phone’s performance. This phone is no doubt a good phone, especially the features like the AMOLED curved display, 144Hz refresh rate, 6000 mAh battery, overall slim design, and lightweight build. But still, there are a few cons, this phone has a low resale value due to brand recognition, and the battery charging speed is slow. But if you are okay with slow charging and don’t plan to sell this phone later in the future, then you can definitely buy it. However, if you need a phone with fast charging as well, then there are some alternatives available that you can consider.

Here are some phones you can buy under 50,000 PKR if you plan to skip Itel S26 Ultra. These phones don’t just have good battery, fast charging, and overall performance, but they also have decent resale value. So just in case you sell your phone in the future, you’ll get good money in return due to resale value.
